Xingxing Lin

Xingxing Lin is a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Auckland. She holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Ocean University. Her research interests lie in mechanical vibrations and dynamic modeling.

PhD project:

Xingxing’s doctoral research focuses on the optimization and practical realization of the acoustic black hole (ABH) phenomenon. Her work involves fundamental theoretical investigations and experimental explorations of ABH structures, with applications in vibration reduction, noise control, energy harvesting, and wave manipulation.
